Old Vines

Old vines have very low yields, which are hand-selected, producing our highest quality and most complex wines. For this reason, we have made a concerted effort to maintain our old vines and to ensure that they are protected for future generations. We have 76 hectares of vines over 50 years old (with the oldest from 1906), which allows us to make viable quantities of these top-quality wines. Our oldest vines are Tempranillo, Garnacha and Macabeo, the native varieties. These are grown in the traditional bush-vine method of viticulture, whereby vines grow unsupported, and are harvested manually
