The development in the 12th century of Mudejar art in Aragon, in northern Spain, resulted from the fusion of cultures present in Spain at the time. This art, part of UNESCO’s World Heritage, is characterized by the eight-star cross.
The village of Paniza, with its own Mudejar art style, is located in the southern zone of the Cariñena wine region, in the foothills of the Ibérico mountain range. An area with ideal conditions for wine-making, it is here that we have our winery and 2,200 hectares of vines. Today, Castillo de Paniza leads the local Aragón wine market, selling over one million bottles in the horeca and supermarket sectors. It can be found in almost every little bar and resturant in Zaragoza and throughout the villages in our region. This is an easy drinking everyday wine. It is bottled within a year of the harvest and is best consumed soon. It is ideal for high volumes and quick turnovers. Styles available are red (60% Tempranillo, 40% Garnacha), white (100% Viura) and rosé (100% Garnacha).
